    What Are Ombre Powder Brows?

Ombre Powder Brows are a semi-permanent cosmetic brow treatment created with a shading technique rather than individual hair strokes. Pigment is gradually built through the brow to create a softer appearance at the front and more definition through the body and tail. The result can be customised from subtle and natural-looking to more defined, while maintaining a smooth powdery finish.

What to Expect During Your Ombre Brows Appointment

Your Ombre Brows appointment is scheduled for approximately two hours and includes consultation, brow design, preparation and treatment. Here is what to expect during your appointment at Lilac Beauty.

    Personalised Consultation & Brow Design

Your appointment begins with a consultation to discuss your preferred brow shape, level of definition and overall result. We then design the brows with your facial features, symmetry and existing brow shape in mind.

    Colour Selection, Numbing & Preparation

We select a pigment colour to complement your brows and desired result. The treatment area is prepared and topical numbing is used to help keep you comfortable during the procedure.

    Application of Ombre Powder Shading

Pigment is applied using a controlled shading technique to build a soft, powdery finish. The front of the brow is kept softer while additional definition can be created through the body and tail.

    Aftercare & Healing Guidance

After your treatment, we explain how to care for your brows during healing. Initial healing usually takes around 7–14 days, while the healed colour and overall result are best assessed after approximately 4–6 weeks.

Are Ombre Brows Right for You?

Ombre Brows can be customised for a wide range of brow styles, from soft and natural-looking definition to a more polished powder finish. The technique is suitable for all skin types and is particularly useful for clients with oily or combination skin.

Because Ombre Brows use shading rather than individual hair strokes, pigment retention and definition can be more predictable on oily skin than traditional Microblading. The most suitable technique still depends on your skin, existing brows and the type of result you would like to achieve.

How Long Do Ombre Brows Last?

Ombre and Powder Brows typically last around 1–3 years. Longevity varies
between clients and can be influenced by skin type, lifestyle, sun
    exposure, aftercare and ongoing maintenance.

Cosmetic brow pigment gradually fades over time, so the timing of any
future refresh will depend on how your individual skin retains the pigment
and how your brows change as they fade.

    Ombre Brow Healing and Aftercare

Initial healing after Ombre Brows usually takes around 7–14 days. During
the first part of the healing process, the brows can appear darker or more
intense than the final result before gradually softening.

The colour and overall healed result are best assessed after approximately
4–6 weeks. Following your aftercare instructions is important because
healing and pigment retention can vary between clients.

Do Ombre Brows Need a Touch-Up?

An initial touch-up is usually recommended around 4–8 weeks after your first Ombre Brows appointment. This allows the healed colour and shape to be assessed after the initial healing period.

The touch-up is not included in the initial Ombre Brows treatment price and is booked and charged separately.

Already Have Previous Brow Tattoo or PMU?

If you have previously had eyebrow tattooing, Microblading, Nanoblading or another form of permanent or semi-permanent brow makeup, please let us know before booking your Ombre Brows treatment.

Whether a new treatment can be performed depends on the colour, density and condition of the existing pigment. In some cases an assessment, correction or removal may be recommended before further brow tattooing.

    Ombre Brows FAQs

    What are Ombre Powder Brows?

Ombre Powder Brows are a semi-permanent cosmetic brow treatment that
uses shading to create a soft, powdery and defined finish. At Lilac
Beauty, Ombre Brows, Ombre Powder Brows and Powder Brows refer to the
    same treatment.

Are Ombre Brows suitable for oily skin?

Yes. Ombre Brows are suitable for all skin types and are particularly
well suited to oily and combination skin. Because the technique uses
shading rather than individual hair strokes, retention and definition
can be more predictable on oily skin than traditional Microblading.

How long do Ombre Brows last?

Ombre Brows typically last around 1–3 years. Results vary depending on
factors including skin type, lifestyle, sun exposure, aftercare and
    maintenance.

How long do Ombre Brows take to heal?

Initial healing usually takes around 7–14 days. The colour and final
healed appearance are best assessed after approximately 4–6 weeks.

Is the Ombre Brows touch-up included in the initial price?

No. An initial touch-up is usually recommended around 4–8 weeks after
the first treatment, but it is booked separately and is not included
in the initial Ombre Brows service price.

What if I already have an eyebrow tattoo or previous PMU?

Please tell us before booking if you have previous eyebrow tattooing,
Microblading, Nanoblading or other brow PMU. Existing pigment may need
to be assessed first, and in some cases correction or removal may be
    recommended before another treatment.

What should I tell Lilac Beauty before my appointment?

Please let us know about relevant medical conditions, medications,
recent intensive skin treatments, pregnancy or breastfeeding, active
infection or wounds, acne or eczema around the brow area, blood-thinning
medication, or a relevant history of abnormal scarring or keloids.
Assessment or medical clearance may be required in some circumstances.

Ombre Brows vs Microblading: What’s the Difference?

Ombre Brows and Microblading can both add shape and definition to the brows, but they create the result in different ways. Ombre Brows use shading to produce a soft powder effect, while traditional Microblading creates individual hair-like strokes.

For clients with oily or combination skin, Ombre Brows can offer more predictable pigment retention and definition than traditional Microblading. If your priority is an individual hair-stroke appearance, Microblading or Nanoblading may be considered depending on your skin, existing brows and desired result.
