Lip neutralization, also known as lip neutralisation, is a cosmetic tattoo treatment that uses corrective pigments to help balance dark, brown, purple, grey or cool-looking lip tones. Laleh applies the pigments with a cosmetic tattoo machine, choosing the approach according to your starting lip colour and suitability. The aim is a more balanced, natural-looking tone rather than a particular lipstick shade. This differs from lip blush, which focuses on adding a soft tint and definition. Neutralization may be considered before lip blush, depending on your lips and the result you would like. Colour correction can take several appointments. Each stage is assessed after healing, and neither a particular final colour nor a fixed number of sessions can be guaranteed.
Your first appointment includes a consultation, lip assessment, corrective pigment selection, preparation, treatment and personalised aftercare advice.
First session: A$899 A$499
Appointment duration: approximately 2–3 hours.
Follow-up packages:
3 touch-up sessions: A$599 A$330
5 touch-up sessions: A$530
The first session is not included in either package and must be booked separately. The number of follow-up sessions you need is assessed individually; a package does not guarantee a particular result.

Unsure whether you need colour correction or lip blush? Send an enquiry to discuss your starting lip tone, any previous lip tattoo and the result you have in mind. We can help you understand the next step.
Book NowAllow approximately two to three hours for your first appointment. We begin by assessing your lips and explaining the treatment plan, including the possibility of further sessions once your lips have healed.
Laleh reviews your natural lip tone, areas of uneven colour, previous treatments and relevant health history. You discuss your goals and what colour correction may realistically achieve.
Your lips are prepared for treatment, and corrective pigments are selected for your existing tones. We explain the procedure and how discomfort will be managed before starting.
Using a cosmetic tattoo machine, Laleh applies the selected pigments to help balance dark or cool-looking areas. The treatment is adapted to your lips rather than aiming for the same colour on every client.
You receive personalised aftercare advice. We review the colour as it heals and decide whether further treatment is appropriate before arranging the next session.

With more than 15 years in the beauty industry, Laleh brings a personalised and thoughtful approach to every treatment, with careful attention to each client’s features, skin and desired result.
Meet LalehLip neutralization may suit adults who want to soften the appearance of dark or cool lip tones, or make uneven natural colour look more balanced. You may notice a difference between your upper and lower lip, or darker areas that you would like assessed.
Naturally dark lips are a normal variation and do not need correcting. Treatment is a personal choice, and suitability depends on your lip condition, previous treatments, health history and expectations.
The aim is to improve the appearance of colour balance while working with your natural features. It is not a promise of pink lips, complete lightening or an exact match to a reference photograph.
Fresh colour is not the final result. Different areas can settle at different rates, and further sessions may be needed to address remaining unevenness. We assess your progress after healing rather than judging the outcome on treatment day.
This varies with your starting pigmentation, response to treatment and individual healing. Your consultation provides an initial plan, which may change as we review your results. Buying a three- or five-session follow-up package does not mean everyone needs that number of visits.
Colour can change over the first few weeks. At Lilac Beauty, an initial review around three to four weeks may help us assess progress, but the colour may still be settling. This review is not automatically the right time for another treatment; the next session depends on your healing and assessment.
Follow the personalised instructions provided after your appointment and use the recommended care product as directed. Do not pick flaking skin. Avoid smoking during healing and foods that irritate your lips. Protect them from prolonged direct sun, and use a suitable SPF lip balm once the surface has healed.
Keep your lips moisturised with a suitable balm in the days before your visit. Let us know if they are cracked, sore, inflamed or unusually dry, as treatment may need to be postponed. Tell us about previous lip tattooing, recent lip filler, allergies, medical conditions and any medicines you take.
If you have a history of cold sores, tell us before your appointment and speak with your GP about whether preventive antiviral medicine is appropriate. Do not stop or change prescribed medication without advice from your treating clinician.
The starting point and the goal are different. Neutralization focuses on balancing dark or cool tones; lip blush focuses on adding a soft tint and enhancing the appearance of definition. Some clients may consider lip blush after colour correction, once the healed result has been assessed.
If you would like lip blush later, we will discuss whether it is suitable and confirm the treatment plan and price before you book. For a more detailed comparison, read our guide to lip blush and lip neutralisation.
Your treatment is performed by Laleh at 423 Gardeners Road, Rosebery NSW 2018. Consultation is part of the appointment, giving you time to discuss your lip colour, any previous cosmetic tattoo and your expectations before treatment begins.

The first session is currently A$499, reduced from A$899. Follow-up packages are currently A$330 for three touch-up sessions or A$530 for five. Neither package includes the first session. Your overall cost depends on the treatment plan and the number of sessions you choose after assessment.
It may not be. Colour correction can require several visits, particularly where different areas respond differently. We assess your healed progress before recommending further treatment and cannot guarantee completion in one session.
A particular shade cannot be guaranteed. The first goal is to balance the appearance of dark or cool tones. Your starting colour and healing response influence the outcome, and adding a preferred tint with lip blush may be a later discussion.
Sensation varies from person to person. We discuss comfort measures before treatment, but cannot promise a pain-free appointment. Tell Laleh about any concerns so these can be considered in your treatment plan.
No. Cosmetic tattooing involves breaking the skin and carries risks, including infection. Swelling, tenderness and changes in colour can occur after treatment. Suitability assessment, infection control and following aftercare advice are important. Seek medical advice if you develop worsening pain, pus, fever or other concerning symptoms.
Tell us before booking. You may need advice from your GP about preventive antiviral medicine. Treatment must wait if you have an active cold sore or symptoms suggesting an outbreak, such as tingling, until it has healed and you have been reassessed.
Existing pigment needs assessment first. Tell us about previous lip blush, neutralization or other lip tattooing before booking so we can discuss whether further colour correction is appropriate.
Cosmetic tattoo pigment can fade over time, and the appearance of your lips may change. Retention and maintenance needs vary, so we do not promise a fixed lifespan. We can discuss whether a refresh is appropriate after assessing your existing colour and lip condition.
